Fourth of July

Oops.  I just realized I never posted our July 4th pictures.  We decided to do the real Austin experience and drove downtown for the fireworks by Town Lake.  We stopped by Whole Foods ahead of time to find Jr some treats he could eat, (Chocolates and Lemon Drops… MMmm) then got there early and waited.  (and waited) Once it started getting dark I started panicking about how baby bear would do with the noise.  I don’t know why I didn’t even think about it until then… but at that point we were stuck and decided to just go with it and see.  By the time the fireworks started he was COMPLETELY out and slept through the whole thing.  *Whew!* That could have been bad.

The Best Fireworks Show!

The fireworks were directly in front of us and The Austin Symphony was a few feet to the right.   We had no idea when we sat down that we got the perfect seats!  So I guess we lucked out.   We have video of the last few minutes of the finale and whenever the crowd starts to cheer you can hear Jr yelling right along with, “THOSE ARE SO AWESOME!!!!”   It’s so cute and cracks me up! It’s too long of a clip to post though.  Sorry you have to miss out!
