DOC Band Exit Appointment

We had Baby Bear’s exit appointment last Tuesday – meaning he no longer needs to wear his DOC Band!  He’s within the acceptable “deviation” is I think the term they use.

It is nice to have the whole process completed and to be on the other side!  Wow!  He was a little guy trying to master sitting up when we started the process.  Now he’s walking/standing obsessed!  It is his FAVORITE thing to do right now.  Forget toys, forget singing, forget attention from Jr.  He just wants to walk.  Look out world!

Pictures from our last day:

Here are his updated pics up close:

Amazing difference, don’t you think?  We didn’t notice back in the day what a Charlie Brown head he had.  It’s seriously, like, perfectly round!  Now it is very proportional and we’re really happy with the results!

He’s standing! All I can say is, “Ohhhhhh! He is so cute and has grown up so much! And, what a little darling.”

What an obvious difference in his head shape. It’s just amazing!

    Miss you guys!

Walking you say? Guess I have to pick up all the razor blades we have laying around on end tables and such…

It’s amazing to see the difference – his growth – in those pictures! In the first one, he looks like, well, a baby! And then in the third one, a little man.

I’m so glad that everything worked out well for you guys with this.

I had stumbled upon your blog a while back but never left a comment. Thanks for leaving one for my Maysa. You are right when you say that your Baby Bear is plain adorable. His exit pictures look great you could never tell that his head was ever misshapen.

Anyhow, my daughter has been in her DOC band for 5 weeks now after having spent 3 1/2 months in a helmet from a different company that didn’t do a thing to correct her condition. I am still not quite over that…

I hope her results will be just as good as those of your little one.

Thanks for letting me browse through your journey and your little guy’s DOC band story. My little guy is 6 months and we’re going for a consult next week at Cranial Tech. Your pics and humor about it were extremely helpful. I’ll definitely be making the husband read this when I get home.

Thanks again and your family is beautiful.

Glad I could be of help, Kelly! :) Just try to remember that it is a VERY SHORT phase in the grand scheme of things. Good luck!
