Brothers on the Trampoline
Yesterday was Baby Bear’s first time on the trampoline with Jr. Baby Bear has been watching him jump on it for awhile and I finally decided to bring him up. All we did was sit on it and do teeny bounces. He still loved it and says, “EEEhhhh!” when we go by the back door now. He loves to walk in the grass and now that he’s been on the trampoline… why are we not outside all of the time? (You know, that’s what he’s thinking. Anyway….)
- I didn’t even know this was possible…
I have to say, I’m becoming slightly horrified at how much he wants to be big boy much of the time. Where is my little baby whom I cuddled and fed and diapered?!?!?! Oh yeah, I’m still cuddling and feeding and diapering… but I’m also chasing and laughing and comforting when he bonks his head. Wait, that didn’t sound right. I’m laughing because he’s funny. Before he bonks his head. Not because he bonked his head.
Can you believe he will turn 1 in about a month? ONE YEARS OLD!! Time really has flown and I really want to slow it down for awhile.
I know this is going to sound so cliche and very “mom” and matronly of me – I will sound like someone who just stopped by the Dress Barn (Why oh why do women shop at places named after cows?? What is the lure there?). But one of the most awesome things this year has been seeing a relationship develop between Jr and Baby Bear. Of course the first few months they were just around each other, but the past 6 months or so they have both developed a love and interest in each other that is so sweet. Baby Bear will look for Jr who, of course, always gets the biggest laughs. And Jr loves walking him around and showing him his toys. And they really, honestly enjoy each other. I want to say that I think they’ll be buddies, but I don’t want to jinx it.
We’ll just let it continue to move forward and watch as they continue to grow up. (but s l o w e r)
