LOVE WINS BLOCKS

I’ve been working away making my little blocks the last couple of days.  My fingers are so very tired from sanding and painting and distressing, but it has been worth it because I now have these babies:

I follow FlowerDust blog (found it on amikelife.com) and read about the 50,000 Pairs in 50 Days Challenge.  Go HERE to read more.  Who doesn’t like to help those in need, especially in such an easy way.  And at Christmas!  Five dollars provides 2 pairs of shoes –  Kind of crazy!  I did the $5.00 but the goal total at the moment needs some help… so while I was making some new blocks for my store I whipped these up.

I chose the phrase “Love Wins” because I saw it on a bumper sticker once and just loved the visions it conjured up.  Just  meditate on that for awhile… it will blow your mind!

Blocks

I have an idea to make home decor blocks for bookshelves, kids rooms, etc.  I made some practice blocks for a friend of mine expecting a baby (Whether she wanted them or not. )and I think they turned out pretty good! 

 

My initial idea was to make sets of Classic Authors, Poets, etc.  But think doing Children’s names or other personalized items will be fun too.  They were really fun to make!  Be sure to keep an eye out for more!
