Sea World Sucks

Time elapse:  2 hours.  Good thing we got the season passes!  It was pouring rain the entire way back to Austin… so we were very happy we decided to leave!

• dt’s favorite part of the day:  ”Taking off all of my wet clothes.”
• Jo’s favorite part of the day:  ”The sprint to the car carrying Baby Bear, pushing the stroller thru the lake of water and trying to encourage bawling Jr to keep going!”  I am woman!  Hear me roar!!!!
• Jr’s favorite part of the day:  ”Eating.  Because that was typically the only thing we did there.”  I don’t know why he’s saying typically — this hasn’t happened before!
• Baby Bear’s favorite part of the day:  He handed me his changing pad.  I guess he liked the changing room provisions?

Christmas Vacation, Part V

The Finale of our Christmas Vacation series.  I call this one Jo:Anthropologie  ::  Jr:LEGO store 

We both had that moment of not being able to wait to get in the store… of forgetting about everything and everyone else and heading for the heavenly glow of the wonderfulness inside.  

 

We were only there for a short amount of time, considering the hype around actually getting to go, but it was all worth it.

As you can see we also were able to meet up with friends, Tim and Lori and their family.  They were in from Iowa and we were in from Texas at the same time.  How awesome is that?!  dt hadn’t seen them in over 10 years and they are dear friends of his.  Although, I’m sure he wouldn’t say it like that.  He’d say, “I love Tim and Lori!” and what’s not to love? They are de-lightful!  To be said like this guy: Thanks for meeting up with us, guys!

Christmas Vacation, Part I

There’s no way I can remember enough of our two week trip to Phoenix to write about anything significant… so enjoy these pictures and imagine yourself there.   These are some favorites up to Christmas Eve.

It was iffy whether or not we would be able to afford the trip, so we feel blessed just to have been surrounded by friends and family for the holidays.  We love you guys and wish you a wonderful new year!

Trip to CA: Day 4

The Beach!  We spent the day with Jamie and Kevin and their two cuties, Allie and Erin.  It was so nice to spend a quiet day with them.  It was a Monday so the beach was relatively uncrowded, the weather was warm with a cool breeze and the sound of the surf was something I always remember, once I’m there, how much I miss.  One of God’s greatest creations:  The Ocean.

Trip to CA: Day 2

This was a nice day with lots of down time.  I went to get my nails done with my mom.  dt, Jr and Baby Bear were hanging out by the pool this day.
